Amanda Hawkins](https://scottandco.com/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/2016-09-Amanda-H-1.jpg) **What year did you join Scott and Company?** I joined Scott and Company in 2016.  **Where did you go to college?** I attended the University of South Carolina. Go Gamecocks!! **Why did you choose Scott and Company? ** I chose to work at Scott and Company because I enjoy the smaller firm atmosphere. Most of the work we do is local, and I like the downtown location. **What do you enjoy most about living in Columbia? ** I love living in Gamecock Country!  My husband and I attend many of the Gamecock sporting events throughout the year. **What is your favorite place to go and why?** I have two favorite locations: Beech Mountain, NC and Disney World.  These are both vacation spots that I have been going to for most of my life, and it is always a good time when we go back.  I could probably live happily in Disney World. - [Tweet](https://twitter.com/share) ![Scott Logo with Tagline - FINAL-ReversedText](https://scottandco.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Scott%20Logo%20with%20Tagline%20-%20FINAL-ReversedText.png?width=300&height=92&name=Scott%20Logo%20with%20Tagline%20-%20FINAL-ReversedText.png)   ##### Quick Links Quick Links - [About](https://scottandco.com/about) - [Services](https://scottandco.com/services) - [Industries](https://scottandco.com/industries) - [Insights](https://scottandco.com/blog) - [Careers](https://scottandco.com/careers) ![SCBIZ BPTW logo 2026](https://scottandco.com/hs-fs/hubfs/SCBIZ%20BPTW%20logo%202026.png?width=150&height=158&name=SCBIZ%20BPTW%20logo%202026.png) Proud to be named a South Carolina 2026 Best Places to Work—our 12th year on this prestigious list.
